Phase 3A: Civic Center Drive to Washington Avenue
The Bristol Street Improvement Project is a complete reconstruction of the existing roadway from Civic Center Drive to Washington Avenue, aimed at enhancing both ride quality and visual appearance along the corridor. The project widens Bristol Street to six lanes, with three through lanes in each direction, and includes 6-foot-wide Class IV protected bike lanes on both sides, a 6-foot-wide parkway, an 8-foot-wide sidewalk, a 14-foot-wide raised median, and an approximately 8-foot wall where needed. Additional improvements include water and sewer upgrades, new street lights, traffic signal enhancements, and landscaping with irrigation. The City has coordinated with telecommunication companies and Southern California Edison to relocate overhead cables. The telecommunication companies have completed their underground relocation work, and Southern California Edison is currently performing its portion with an estimated completion date of June 2026.
